Disc: Pablo Honey | Creep single | Stop Whispering single CD2
Tablature: Guitar

In this song about lost love, Thom sings that he is much better off without the other person in his life.

'Lurgee,' unlike most other songs from this period, found its way into the band's live set in 2001. One of two songs recorded with Chris Hufford at Courtyard Studios, it was selected for inclusion on Pablo Honey. The same version was used as a B-side for the original release of Creep.

It's title is pronounced 'L-er-gh-ee', and is an English slang name for a nasty infectious disease. Probably refering to the lover who was lost.

I feel better, I feel better now you've gone
I got better, I got better, I got strong

I feel better, I feel better now there's nothing wrong
I got better, I got better, I got strong

Tell me something, tell me something I don't know
Tell me one thing, tell me one thing, or let it go

I got something, I got something, heaven knows
I got something, I got something I don't know
