PACKT LIKE SARDINES IN A CRUSHD TIN BOX

The longest Radiohead song title ever, (since How To Disappear Completely And Never Be Found's title was cut short). A very upbeat track. Compared in some circles, to Idioteque, and yet it has a very Everything In Its Right Place kind of feel to it. Phil is playing the drums on some kitchen pots. There are a few electronical beats flaying about, and Thom is repeating the very catchy lines "After years of waiting, nothing came" and "I'm a reasonable man, get off my case". Excellent album opener.

Towards the end of the track, there's a kind of growl or purry sound. It's not easily noticed, because it blends in well with the music. Just part of some of the effects the band have been incorporating into their music. If you listen closley, there is some cool guitar going on towards the end too. And I'm sure I hear some sampled speech.

Live, this track has been converted into a rock track, with a more upbeat pace and less electronic sounding depth.

After years of waiting, nothing came
As your life flashed before your eyes
You realise...

I'm a reasonable man, get off, get off, get off my case
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case, get off my case

After years of waiting...
After years of waiting, nothing came
And you realise, you've been looking in
Looking in the wrong place
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case, get off my case
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case, get off my case
Get off my case
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case, get off my case
Get off my case

After years of waiting...
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case, get off my case
Get off my case
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case, get off my case
Get off my case
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case, get off my case
Get off my case
I'm a reasonable man, get off my case, get off my case
Get off my case
