Rabbit in Your Headlights By Bill Scales wdscales@hotmail.com Chords Used: EADGBE ------------------ Em7: 020033 F#/E: 044320 Am7: X02010 Bm7: X24232 A: X02220 C#m/A: X06654 The Intro/Verse part is just a 4 chord progression ... Em7 --> F#/E --> Am7 --> Bm7 If you're not intent on playing the song PERFECTLY ACCURATE, then try this when you play the Am7 chord ... Use your ring finger on the D string and your middle finger on the B string. e|--0----0-----0-----0----> 2---- B|--1------1-----1-----1--> 3---- G|--0--0-----0-----0------> 2---- D|--2---------------------> 4---- A|--0---------------------> 2---- E|------------------------------- Slide the chord up from an Am7 to a Bm7, barring the 2nd fret. Again, this is NOT how Thom plays it (gasp!) ... but just a little addition I like to throw in there. The chorus ("... fat bloody fingers ...") is A --> C#m/A The breakdown part with the guy speaking about dying and such is an F#m (244222) chord finger picked. At the end, where it kinda all comes together and the song picks up, I like to do this ... Play the chorus part normal, A --> C#m/A then go into this .... e|--4--4----4--4-----4-- B|--5--5----5--5-----5-- G|--4--6----4--6-----4-- D|--6--6----6--6-----6-- A|--7--4----X--0-----7-- E|----------7-----4--0-- then repeat. The rhythm is easy to figure out if you listen to the song. Also, at some point during this end bit, they go back into the chorus (A --> C#m/A) and then back into the end part. End the song by going back into the Verse/Intro part (Em7 --> F#/E --> Am7 --> Bm7) .... and you're done. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rabbit In Your Headlights as tabbed by Colin Fairbairn dokushoka@aol.com Well I hope this version of the tab helps more of you out because the only other tab I have seen for this song is a bit confusing unless you have a keyboard. So for those of you that only have access to a guitar, I hope this helps you work out this great song. Enjoy! Here are the chord shapes for the intro/verse bit e--x---x---x---x-----------------------x B--3---2---x---x-----------------------x G--4---3---0---2--or if you can't -----x D--5---4---2---4--stretch you fingers--7 A--x---x---3---5--that far-------------5 E--0---0---5---7--then try this--------7 Heres the picking pattern. I reccomend that you use your fingers instead of a pick. Try hitting the bass note first with your thumb, and then using your other available fingers to pluck the remaining notes all at once. e------------------------- B------3-----2------------ G------4-----3-----0-----2 D------5-----4-----2-----4 A------------------3-----5 E---0-----0-----5-----7--- If you are having trouble with the last chord, try playing it this way instead (it still sounds okay) e------------------------- B------3-----2------------ G------4-----3-----0------ D------5-----4-----2-----7 A------------------3-----5 E---0-----0-----5-----7--- Here is the chorus part. I just alternate between a regular Amaj chord and a C#m like so: e------------- B---2------5-- G---2------6-- D---2------6-- A-0-----4----- E------------- For the interlude bit with the talking, play this: e----------------------- B------------2---------- G---2----2------2-----2- D-4---4------------4---- A----------------------- E----------------------- And finally, I think this is how the little bass run at the end goes, I could be wrong on this part though. G----------------------------- D----------------------------- A-4--2-2-2-------------------- E----------5-5-5--4-4-4--0-0-- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Fitter Happier - Radiohead Tabs @ http://fitterhappier.org
