Radiohead Alternate tunings etc.

There are many Radiohead songs with different tunings that I'm sure lot's of 
people are aware of. However you might be playing along with a song using 
the proper chords and something still doesn't sound right, this is due to 
the fact that the boys sometimes varispeed certain songs up or down 
semi-tones. Either to allow Thom to sing higher or lower I don't know. So if 
you want to play on the guitar along with a CD then you have to retune it so 
you can sound in perfect unision. To get some of these tunings I strongly 
suggest getting a digital tuner, or if you have keyboard that can varispeed
which most can do then tune it along with that.

I've just compiled a list for easy refrence of every know song that's either 
tuned differently, varispeeded or capoed. This list will probably change as 
possibly I will find some more.


Capo

Lull    - Capo 5th fret
Exit Music    -  Capo 2nd fret
No Suprises (Thoms guitar)- Capo 3rd fret
No Suprises (Ed's guitar)- Capo 15th fret
How To Dissapear-    Capo 2nd fret
Motion Picture Soundtrack (acoustic)- Capo 2nd fret



Alternate Tunings on Albums


Vegtable- (EbGbDbGbBbeb) Drop the A string to a G, and then all
          the strings down half a step.

Ripcord-   Tuned up a 1/4 step.

Stop Whispering-  (DADGBe) Drop the top E string down to a D.

I Can't  - (EADGBd)  Drop the bottom e string down to a D.

Lozenge of Love-   (DADGBe)   Drop the top E string down to a D.

Planet Telex-   Tuned up a 1/4 step.

The Bends-     Tuned up a 1/4 step

Just-    Tuned up a 1/4 step.

Black Star-  Tuned up a 1/4 step.

Street Spirit-  Tuned down a 1/4 step.

Electioneering-   (DADGBd)  both E strings dropped to D's. Jonny's
                  guitar has just the top string dropped to a D.

No Suprises-  tuned down a 1/4 step

The Tourist-   (EAEGBe) Tune the D string up to a E

How I Made My Millions-   tuned up a 1/4 step

Pearly*-   tuned up a 1/4 step

Lift-   tuned up a 1/4 step
