Treefingers will hands down be one of the biggest surprises on Kid A. It has no real melody and is instrumental. One may think that synthesizers were used to make the song, but as Ed pointed out in an interview, it was done all on guitar. Thom recorded Ed playing guitar for about 10 minutes and then cut and paste the recording in his sampler.

This track contains no vocals, and is not much of a fan favourite, but fits the album well as a dividing piece. If there's one thing you can say about this track, it is ambience personified. A huge wide open space. It's nice to listen to when you're going to sleep. But if you concentrate, you'll find this piece to be quite endearing.

An extended version appears on the soundtrack for the film 'Memento'. It's about a minute longer than the version found on Kid A.

This track has no vocals. It's an instrumental.
