Jonny's favorite Pablo Honey track and the band's closing song of choice for many of the early shows, 'Blow Out' is one of Thom's more personal songs about low self-esteem. Many fans consider this the strongest track of the album (besides Creep), and the music towards the end of the track is fantastic.

On the reissue of the Creep single, a remix of this track appears. The remix opens with Thom singing over a simple guitar line. This version has a much faster, feedback induced ending than the album version.

In my mind and nailed into my heels
All the time killing what I feel

And everything I touch
(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up and sugar coated)
Turns to stone

And everything I touch
(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up and sugar coated)
Turns stone

I am fused just incase I blow out
I am glued just incase I crack out

Everything I touch turns to stone
Everything I touch
(All wrapped up in cotton wool)
(All wrapped up and sugar coated)
Turns stone
