YES I AM

Released:
September 1993
Length: 4:25
Disc: Creep single reissue
Tablature: Guitar

Reflecting an attitude Thom has had since childhood - he's the underdog who wants to show up the people who always put him down - Yes I Am sticks to all those phonies who are suddenly your best friend when you make it big. This song was featured on the reissue of Creep, made after the band had found success in the United States.

It starts very quietly, but over the 4 minutes, gains a lot of noise. The ending guitar solo is genius between Ed and Jonny. It goes on for about a minute. I think it's Ed and Jonny. Could be Thom... Who knows?

I resent you calling
I resent your voice
I resent that I don't have a choice

Anywhere I go, you are always there
Outiside the car, or in my hair

I think I've been here before
Yes I've been here before
But last time you locked all the doors

And I resent you calling
I resent your voice
I resent that I don't have a choice

And yes I am willing
Yes I am

Think I've told you once
Think I needed advice
You were such a help, that's very nice

Think I've been here before
Yes I've been here before
But this time I'll kick down your door

And yes I am willing
Yes I am willing
